Star Rating field
The Star Rating Field allows users to provide feedback or express preferences by selecting a rating on a star scale.
By default, the scale is set to five stars, but form creators can adjust the number of stars (e.g. 3, 10) and even allow half-star ratings for more precise feedback.
This field is commonly used in surveys, evaluations, and feedback forms to capture user satisfaction in a clear and visual way.
How to Create a Default 5-Star Rating Field
- Right-click on Form Content.
- Select Create.
- Choose Star Rating Field.
- Enter a field name (e.g. Rate your stay).
- Click Save and Publish.
As a result:
A 5-star rating field will appear on the form, allowing users to provide feedback by selecting a rating from one to five stars.
How to Set the Number of Stars
- Follows the steps in How To Create a Default 5-Star Rating Field to create a star rating field.
- Under Field Settings, enter the desired maximum number of stars in Max Number of Stars (e.g. 10).
- Click Save and Publish.
As a result:
The star rating field will display the number of stars you have configured, allowing users to rate within that scale.
How to Allow Half-Star Ratings
- Follow the steps in How To Create a Default 5-Star Rating Field to create a star rating field.
- Under Field Settings, toggle on Allow Half Stars.
- Click Save and Publish.
As a result:
Users will be able to provide more precise feedback by selecting half-star ratings (e.g. 3.5 stars).
