File Upload

The File Upload field allows users to attach documents or files directly to the form.

It is commonly used for submitting supporting materials such as identification copies, certificates, or official documents.

Form creators can configure settings such as the maximum file size, allowed file types, and the option to upload multiple files, ensuring that submissions meet specific requirements.

How to Create a File Upload Field

  1. Right-click on Form Content.
  2. Select Create.
  3. Choose File Upload.
  4. Enter a field name (e.g. Upload Supporting Documents).
  5. Click Save and Publish.

As a result:

A single file upload field with the specified name will appear on the form.

How to Allow Multiple File Uploads

  1. Follow the steps in How to Create a File Upload Field to create your file upload field.
  2. Under Field Settings, enable Allow Multiple.
  3. (Optional) Set the maximum number of files allowed (e.g. 3)
  4. Click Save and Publish.

As a result:

Users can upload multiple files within the same field. If the maximum is set to 3 files, attempting to upload more than 3 will display an error message.

How to Allow Specific File Types

  1. Follow the steps in How to Create a File Upload Field to create your file upload field.
  2. Under Field Settings > Allowed File Types, enter the permitted file extensions (e.g. pdf, txt)
  3. Click Save and Publish.

As a result:

Only files matching the permitted extensions will be accepted.

How to Set a Maximum File Size

  1. Follow the steps in How to Create a File Upload Field to create your file upload field.
  2. Under Upload Settings > Max File Size, enter the maximum file size allowed in bytes (e.g. 5000).
  3. Click Save and Publish.

As a result:

Users will only be able to upload files that do not exceed the specified size limit.
